Your doctor will tell you how much of Razadyne ER (Called Reminyl ER) to use and how often. Your dose may need to be changed several times in order to find out what works best for you. Do not use more medicine or use it more often than your doctor tells you to.

Razadyne ER (Called Reminyl ER) comes with patient instructions. Read and follow these instructions carefully. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions.

It is best to take the extended-release capsule once daily with your morning meal. Take the tablet or the oral liquid with your morning and your evening meals.

Drink extra fluids so you will pass more urine while you are using Razadyne ER (Called Reminyl ER). This will keep your kidneys working well and help prevent kidney problems.

Measure the oral liquid medicine with a marked measuring spoon, oral syringe, or medicine cup.
If a dose of Razadyne ER (Called Reminyl ER) is missed:

If you miss a dose or forget to use your medicine, use it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, wait until then to use the medicine and skip the missed dose. Do not use extra medicine to make up for a missed dose.

If you do not use your medicine for several days, call your doctor. You may need to go back to a lower dose.

Store the medicine in a closed container at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct light. Do not freeze the oral liquid.

Keep all medicine away from children and never share your medicine with anyone.
Drugs and Foods to Avoid While Taking Razadyne ER (Called Reminyl ER):
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any other medicine, including over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.

Make sure your doctor knows if you are also using atropine, quinidine, dicyclomine (Bentyl®), tolterodine (Detrol®), donepezil (Aricept®), tacrine (Cognex®), Tagamet®, ketoconazole (Nizoral®), or bethanechol (Urecholine®).

Tell your doctor if you are using medicine for heart rhythm problems (such as verapamil, propranolol, Rythmol®, Tambocor®), medicine for depression (such as amitriptyline, Luvox®, Paxil®, Prozac®), or pain or arthritis medicine (such as aspirin, Advil®, Aleve®, Feldene®, Indocin®, Motrin®, Orudis®, Relafen®, Voltaren®).

Make sure your doctor knows if you are pregnant or breast feeding, or if you have a history of stomach ulcers or bleeding. Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, liver disease, heart rhythm problems, asthma, or other breathing problems.

Make sure any doctor or dentist who treats you knows that you are using Razadyne ER (Called Reminyl ER). You may need to stop using Razadyne ER (Called Reminyl ER) several days before having surgery or medical tests.

Do not stop using Razadyne ER (Called Reminyl ER) or change the amount you take without asking your doctor.
Possible Side Effects While Using Razadyne ER (Called Reminyl ER):
Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects:

Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing.

Bloody or black, tarry stools, or vomiting of blood or material that looks like coffee grounds.

Chest pain, slow or uneven heartbeat, shallow breathing.
-
Light-headedness or fainting.
-
Muscle weakness.
-
Problems with urination.

Seizure.

Severe stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, increased sweating, urination, and stools, watery eyes.

Decrease in how much or how often you urinate.

Loss of appetite, weight loss.

Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.

Tiredness, dizziness, depression, trouble sleeping.
