You should not use Benzoyl Peroxide/Erythromycin if you have had an allergic reaction to erythromycin or benzoyl peroxide in the past. How to Use Benzoyl Peroxide/Erythromycin:

Your doctor will tell you how often to use Benzoyl Peroxide/Erythromycin.

For use on the skin only.

Wash and dry the area before you put on the medicine. If you have just shaved, you should wait 30 minutes before applying the medicine to prevent stinging or irritation.

Put the medicine on with your fingers and spread it over the affected area (on and around the acne).

Do not apply in or around the eyes.

Wash your hands after using.
If a dose is missed:
-
Apply the missed dose as soon as possible.

Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next regular dose.

You should not use twice as much medicine at one time.
How to Store and Dispose of Benzoyl Peroxide/Erythromycin:

Store Benzoyl Peroxide/Erythromycin in the refrigerator, away from heat and direct light. Do not freeze.

Keep all medicine out of the reach of children.
Drugs and Foods to Avoid:
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any other medicine, including over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.

Check with your doctor before using any other acne medicine on your skin.

Using PABA sunscreen and benzoyl peroxide together may cause your skin to change color. Ask your pharmacist for a sunscreen product that does not contain PABA.
Warnings While Using Benzoyl Peroxide/Erythromycin:

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor before using Benzoyl Peroxide/Erythromycin.

Benzoyl peroxide may bleach hair and dyed fabric. Avoid getting the medicine on your hair or clothes.
Possible Side Effects While Using Benzoyl Peroxide/Erythromycin:
Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects:

Severe skin swelling or blistering
If you notice these less serious side effects, talk with your doctor:

Skin rash, redness, swelling or itching

Dry or peeling skin

Tenderness, stinging or burning

Eye irritation
